Hi! First blog ever. Its the start of Feburary and looking back at Jan considering all, I've done pretty well. I started the year by being notified that I'd passed my college course in web development by passing my exams and project assignments. I now have yet another diploma to not stick on the wall. I'm enjoying my soccer although the level isn't too challenging for me, but hey, I'm 36 and still running around like a teenager! Plus...I'm off to Japan, its official. Flights booked, accomodation for the first weekend in Tokyo booked. I'm certainly living in the now, probably a bit too much but hey, could be dead tomorrow!
At work been building lots of cools apps to help me through my day, a way cool to do list app, and a db and interface for my content work which pulls lots of data in a clever way. Thats not technically my job but until the boss complains I'm not stopping! Back to learning Japanese too, just speaking, not reading. That Kanji and Katakana will have to wait until another day, perhaps one with 243000 hours in it?
Among other highlights of my January were seeing the wonderful Avatar 3D again, and on DVD funny people. If you are reading this and haven't seen either, go watch 'em, fun fun fun. Also I saw a fantastic french film, an oldie, called Angel-A. Well worth checking out, very original, and directed by Luc Besson, of Leon fame. My favourite joke I've heard today is "I was puking more than a belemic girl who just ate 20 hamburgers covered in sperm sauce." I think you can guess the writer! I hope I look back on February with the same levels of pride.
